Barbara Jean Hotujac

<p>Barbara Jean Campbell Hotujac was born October 15, 1935, to Boyd and Catherine Campbell in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Holy Name and Loretta Academy, graduating in 1953. In 1955 Barbara married Paul F Hotujac and were blessed with six children, all surviving Catherine Dissmeyer (David), Michael Hotujac (Debra), John Hotujac (Ruth), Thomas Hotujac (Christi), Antoinnette [Toni] Siefkas (Kenny), and Paul [Butch] Hotujac (Cathy). Barbara is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, her sisters Sandy Mihelic and Joann Woerndle, her brother Franklin Tomc, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Sharon Campbell, her mother Catherine Campbell, her father Boyd Campbell, and her stepmother Joann Campbell.</p><p><br></p><p>Barbara spent several years as a homemaker, taking care of her young children. She was also a valued employee for Wyandotte County Courthouse, Sun Savings and Loan, Brotherhood Bank &amp; Trust, and Piper Township Fire Department. Barbara was a devote catholic, being a member of Blessed Sacrament, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she served as a member of the Altar Society for several years. Barbara also found time to volunteer as a foster grandparent with Catholic Charities. Barbara was proud to be a lifelong “Dotte” from KCK.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation and rosary honoring Barbara Jean Campbell Hotujac will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th Street, Kansas City, KS at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, followed by the requiem mass at 10:00 and a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 126th &amp; Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at St. John the Baptist church basement following the services.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
