Rosemary Ann Belfiore (nee Quashnefski), longtime resident of Elyria, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at UH Hospice Care in Elyria, at age 85, with her family surrounding her. She was born February 28, 1937 to Clarence and Josephine (nee Lacrosse-Byars) Quashnefski.

After graduating from the North Ridgeville High School Class of 1955, she joined the Military. After completing her basic training in the U.S. Women's Marine Corps at Parris Island, South Carolina, she was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in October of 1955. She was formerly employed by Bell Telephone Co., where she met the love of her life, Joseph Belfiore, to whom she was married for 65 years.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Sr.; sons, Alan (Margaret), Andy (Michelle) and Joe Jr. (Darlene), many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and her sister, Bobbie Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Belfiore; brother, Allen Quashnefski and stepfather, Claborn Byars.

A Private Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
