Annette Langebrake Obituary

October 12, 1932-March 10, 2023

Annette Parsons Langebrake passed away peacefully the morning of March 10, 2023. Annette, 90, found joy in each day and was loved and adored by her children, Lisa Langebrake Heydinger, Larry Langebrake, and Lori Langebrake Preble. Annette shared her life with her loving husband, Clair, whom she married in 1954. Her loving grandchildren, James Langebrake Heydinger, Tessa Heydinger (Lisa) Christopher Langebrake, Jessica Langebrake Inman (Larry), Madison Preble, and Riley Preble (Lori), will miss their vivacious and joyful grandmother. Annette was great grandmother to Christopher Langebrake’s children, Zachary and Eric, and Jessica Inman’s children, Page and Jack. Annette will be greatly missed by her extended family and fellow members of Grace United Methodist Church of Waverly.

Annette was born in Lexington, Kentucky and later moved with her family to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where she met Clair. Annette and Clair relocated to Waverly, Ohio, where they built their home of 67 years overlooking Lake White.

Annette was involved with her church and often volunteered at community events. Her generous spirit and cheerful southern hospitality led her to teach Sunday school at Grace United Methodist Church and engage in building committee assistance, growing the church from a small sanctuary building into the existing compound of educational and family life center buildings adjacent to the original sanctuary. Annette was also active with the local chapter Sigma Phi Gamma sorority serving as president for several years. Annette led philanthropic activities which focused on the betterment of underprivileged young women willing to work toward educational achievement.

Annette’s family, extended family, friends, and neighbors will miss her jovial spirit and zest for life. Annette’s warmth and friendly nature was a font of inspiration for so many both in the community and across all those whose lives she touched.
