Angelika C. Bauman, 79, of South Elgin passed away on March 2, 2023. She was born on August 6, 1943 in Breslau, Germany, (now Poland) the daughter of Alfred and Charlotte (Brieger) Lux. Angelika was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a nurse and also worked at the Elgin Watch Factory. She loved taking care of children, especially little ones in the family. Survivors include her daughter Tanya Bauman of Elgin, IL, four grandchildren; Matthew C. (Erin) Bauman of Lake Geneva, WI, Harley S. Bauman of Sharon, WI, Reese A. Johnson, Heidi A. Johnson and two great-granddaughters, Gracelyn M. Bauman and Gwen M. Bauman, along with four siblings, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sweetheart Trevor A. Bauman Sr. whom she married June 15, 1963, her son, Trevor A. Bauman Jr., a sister, Adelheid M. Kelly, and a brother Edmund Lux.
