Sarah Cox

<p>Sarah M. Cox was born November 19, 1939, in Evans County, Georgia to the late Vernita Smith Richardson and Kelly Mincey. During the evening of March 13, 2023, Heaven doors opened and welcomed her home.</p><p><br></p><p>At an early age Sarah gave her life to Christ and attended Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church of Claxton, GA. She later became an active member of Isle of Hope in Hinesville, GA where she served faithfully as an usher and was on the hospitality committee until her health failed.</p><p><br></p><p>Sarah’s faith never wavered. She knew her walk was anchored in the Lord. As the matriarch of the family, she cherished her loved ones and friends. She loved to nurture and she had great passion for caring for children. Sarah was a Devoted Wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceded her death was her husband of 69 years; Jettie Cox, three children; McAuthur, Ernest Lee and Louvanda Cox, three brothers; Troy, Roger and Leroy Mincey, one sister; Helen McClain, one granddaughter; LaConya Coley.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to cherish her memory four devoted children; Jet Arthur (Josie) Cox, Danny Lee (Mae) Cox, Sandra McBride, Samantha( Wayne) Hall of Glennville, GA, six sisters; Naomie Slater of Claxton, GA, Josie Mae Mincey of Savannah, GA, Jewel (Reginald) Sharp, Shirley (Edward) Rogers, Willie (Bill) McKinnon of Reidsville, GA, Claudia Slater of Savannah, GA, one sister-in-law; Ida Pearl Wynn of Glennville, GA, two brothers; Jerry (Dorothy) Mincey and Larry Mincey of Savannah, GA, Six god daughters; Jacqueline Horton, Kathy Austin, Angela Roberts, Shirley Miller, Shonda Wright and Feta Underwood, 19 grandchildren; one special granddaughter; Tamika Tasker, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.</p><p><br></p>
