<p>BARBARA NELL HOLT BIVINS</p><p><br></p><p>Barbara Nell Holt Bivins, 84, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 11:05 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2023 at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p><p><br></p><p>A native of Christian County, Kentucky she was born on August 18, 1938 the daughter of the late Jewell Martin Holt and Jannie Orten Holt.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Woodburn Bivins and her son, Edward Vance Bivins.</p><p><br></p><p>She retired from Western State Hospital as nurse aide. She was a member of Sinking Fork Baptist Church and she enjoyed volunteering with Impact Ministries and spending time with her children and grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include her sons: Gary (Lynda) Holt, Greg (Kathy) Bivins and Todd (Janet) Bivins all of Christian County, Kentucky; her sister, Nina Mitchell and her brothers, Bud Holt and Jerry Holt all of Christian County, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Lynn Powell, Miranda White, Cade Bivins and Conner Bivins and four great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Contributions may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.</p><p><br></p>August 18, 1938 - March 13, 202308/18/193803/13/2023
