<p>Mark Allen Karsten, 69 of the Village of Summit, WI entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 10, 2023. Mark was victorious over cancer as he was “ready to enter into eternity.”</p><p><br></p><p>Mark’s Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He found great enjoyment in life serving the Lord through his coffee ministry at Elmbrook Church - Lake Country. He loved his best friend, “his partner” and wife Patricia, and cherished the 51 years they spent together enjoying life. Together they found joy hiking, bird watching and traveling the country, which he patriotically loved. Mark loved and believed that his greatest blessings were found in his family, friends and church.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark is preceded in death by his parents Wallace (Bud) and Renee (Estelle) Karsten and is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat), his brother Glenn (Patti), his two children, Paul (Kelli) and Todd (Stacy), his grandchildren Brandon, Alex, Blake and Caleb and his beloved kitty, Sweetie.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will take place on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Elmbrook Church - Lake Country (1100 WI Hwy83, Hartland, WI 53029) from 3:30pm-5:00pm with a Celebration of Life to follow.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Summit Medical Center; as well as the staff at Angels Grace Hospice for the care and compassion they have shown through the ministry of Jesus.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark touched the lives of so many people beyond his family. We were blessed with the gift of having had him in our lives. We thank you for your support, condolences and prayers. Mark shared that he felt each prayer that was being lifted up.</p><p><br></p><p>Philippians 4:4-9,</p><p>Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials to Angels Grace Hospice (N74W35908 Servants Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) are appreciated.</p><p></p>
