<p>Brenda Parsley, 60, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH after a brave three-year battle with lymphoma and other cancer complications. Born September 14, 1962 to George and Eva Hicks, Brenda grew up in Columbus, Ohio. It was there she met her dear husband, Kendall Parsley, whom she married on May 16, 1987. The couple celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary shortly before Kendall’s untimely passing on July 4, 2017.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda began her career at Nationwide Insurance in 1980, where she worked a variety of roles. She retired from the company after 35 years of service in 2015 as a Human Resources Generalist. Brenda and Kendall also owned a private fishing charter service called Drift Away Charters and enjoyed many happy years being part of the Channel Grove community in Marblehead, OH.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda was known to family and friends alike as a generous, extremely extroverted woman who was the first to lend a helping hand at a moment's notice. She was highly enthusiastic, offering thoughtful advice and candid humor that was highly valued by those around her.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda enjoyed dancing, playing Bingo and Yahtzee, going to the casino, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Brenda also delighted in cooking for loved ones and being “the hostess with the mostess.”</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda is survived by her beloved daughter Misti (Aaron) Allison and grandchildren Blake and Audrey Allison of East Palestine, OH; step-son Steven Parsley; aunt Sue Hagerman; sisters Patricia (Robert) Carrington, Sandra Hamilton, Bert Fletcher, and Jean Ann Dwidari all of Columbus, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Yvonne Fitch.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Neidecker, Crosser &amp; Priesman Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio 43440 from 12pm to 1pm with a memorial service at 1pm with Pastor Ryan Flowers officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Since Brenda loved feeding people, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Caring Hands Food Ministry at the First Church of Christ in East Palestine, OH which serves hundreds of families each month. Brenda Parsley, 60, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH after a brave three-year battle with lymphoma and other cancer complications. Born September 14, 1962 to George and Eva Hicks, Brenda grew up in Columbus, Ohio. It was there she met her dear husband, Kendall Parsley, whom she married on May 16, 1987.
