<p>Caeser L. Jones, 67, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from a prolonged illness.&nbsp; </p><p>Caeser was born March 2, 1956 in South Bend, IN to Joseph D. and Vivian Jones.&nbsp; He attended Harrison Grade and Washington High School, where he was a decorated athlete in basketball and baseball. </p><p>Upon graduating from High School, Caeser worked for years at Solvay - Mann Hummel and Honeywell factories. He retired from Honeywell in 2018 due to a sudden illness.&nbsp;Caeser was a member of St. Luke’s Memorial Church of God in Christ.&nbsp;What Caeser enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family and friends at backyard barbecues, watching football and basketball games and mowing not only his, but other family members lawn. &nbsp; </p><p>Caeser is survived by the love of his life, daughter, Cierra R. Jones. He always did and wanted what was best for her.&nbsp; She in return was by his side throughout his illness and to the very end.&nbsp; He is also survived by sisters, Sister Marcella Jones (Pastor Fred) Preston, Arena M. Jones, Cynthia C. (Freddie) Mcknight and Katherine L. Jones.&nbsp; Brothers, Larry J. Jones and Lawrence B. Jones.&nbsp; Special friend, Ronetta Hernton (Cierra’s mother), who was also at his side until the very end.&nbsp; Brenda Blake and Debra Carothers, who provided support and friendship throughout Caeser’s illness.&nbsp; Nephew, Cedric R. Moodie Jr., who throughout Caeser’s illness, helped physical take care of him.&nbsp; Special cousins, Rose Hudson and Effie Clay-White. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss and cherish his memories.&nbsp; </p><p>Caeser was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. and Vivian Jones-Gray, Stepfather, Levi Gray, Brother, John E. Coleman, Sister, Marcia M. Jones, Niece, Tanya M. Jones and Nephew, Joseph D. White. </p><p>Although, it’s so hard to say goodbye, rest in peace Caeser.&nbsp; The pain of your leaving is unbearable.&nbsp; We will never stop loving and missing you.&nbsp; Daddy, mama, Levi, Marie, Tanya and JD (Joker) welcome you with loving arms.&nbsp; </p><p>Homegoing services for Brother Jones will be held on Monday March 20, 2023; 11 A.M at Pentecostal Cathedral Church Of God In Christ, 1025 Western Ave. South Bend, Indiana 46601. Friends may visit with the family an hour prior. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with&nbsp;Alford's Mortuary Inc.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p>

Obituary

Caeser L. Jones, 67, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from a prolonged illness. 

Caeser was born March 2, 1956 in South Bend, IN to Joseph D. and Vivian Jones.  He attended Harrison Grade and Washington High School, where he was a decorated athlete in basketball and baseball.

Upon graduating from High School, Caeser worked for years at Solvay - Mann Hummel and Honeywell factories. He retired from Honeywell in 2018 due to a sudden illness. Caeser was a member of St. Luke’s Memorial Church of God in Christ. What Caeser enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family and friends at backyard barbecues, watching football and basketball games and mowing not only his, but other family members lawn.
