<p>Althea “Jean” Swaney, age 87, of Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, March 10, 2023, in the Commons of Providence, Sandusky, following a brief illness. </p><p>She was born August 28, 1935, in Wellington, OH, and graduated from Wellington High School in 1953.&nbsp; She worked as a personal secretary to the Judge of the Erie County Domestic Relations Court for over 25 years, and she was an avid member of Back to the Wild, Friends of Magee Marsh, and the Town and Country Players.&nbsp; </p><p>Jean is survived by her son Douglas (Michele) Swaney, St. Louis MO; granddaughter Lindsey Swaney, St. Louis, MO; sister Nancy Gfell, Norwalk; sister-in-law Martha Rice, FL; and several nieces and nephews. </p><p>Jean was preceded in death by her husband Lester Swaney in 2017; son Kevin Swaney in 2022; and brother Michael Rice. </p><p>Friends may call Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM at Ransom Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, 610 S.
