Donald Frank Langmeyer

<p>Donald F. Langmeyer, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, surrounded by his immediate family. </p><p>Don graduated from Elmhurst High School, class of 1962. Shortly afterward, he enlisted in the US Air Force and began learning the electrical trade. After an honorable discharge, he and his new bride returned to Fort Wayne, where he would spend 45 years as a local small business owner and an electrical contractor with the IBEW, Local 305. He volunteered his time and resources to help local charities and other small businesses. Over the last ten years before his retirement, you could always find Don and his “philosopher” friends solving world problems and sharing a laugh at Tom’s Donuts on Wells Street. </p><p>Don and Marcia Langmeyer celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 24th. Don always put his family first; he lived those values and taught his children the importance of family. He worked hard, loved hard, and enjoyed putting a smile on the face of others.</p><p>Don is survived by his wife Marcia E. (Anderson) Langmeyer; children, Teresa Langmeyer, Timothy (Tawnia) Langmeyer, and Michael (Delana) Langmeyer; his three grandchildren (Logan, Mason, and Melina); brothers, Joseph (Debbie) Langmeyer and Dennis (Tonya) Langmeyer; as well as his four-legged kid, Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald H. and Norma F. Langmeyer, and his brother, James Langmeyer.</p><p>Funeral services for Don will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 12:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with burial following immediately at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control in honor of the Don.</p>
