Edward P. Donofrio Obituary

Edward P. Donofrio, 79, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of March 9, 2023 at The Haven Convalescent Home.

Born on April 14, 1943 in New Castle, Ed was the son of the late John and Anna Ross Donofrio.

Ed married the love of his life, the former Donna Colecchi on June 29, 1963. She survives at home.

Ed was a renowned entrepreneur, as he had started many businesses and events over the years.

He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1961 to 1967.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Ed was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He also enjoyed working on anything that had to do with automotives. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Ed’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his children, Wendde Donofrio Kneram (Mark) and Kristine Donofrio Flaherty (Patrick), four grandchildren, Patrick Kneram, Ross Kneram, Veronica Kneram-Guelff and Alexis Flaherty and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his grandson, P.J. Flaherty, brother, John Donofrio and sisters, Viola Hare, Anita DeCarlo, and Margaret Colucci.

Honoring his wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Haven Convalescent Home, 725 Paul St., New Castle, PA 16101 or Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation, 498 Fashion Ave., New York, NY 10018.
