<p>Bridgewater</p><p><br></p><p>Thomas L. Esposito passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 at the age of 93.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born December 23, 1929, in Belleville, NJ to Angelo Esposito and Graziella (Grace) DiBenedetto. Thomas lived in Bloomfield before moving to Bridgewater in 1987. He was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 36 years in Bloomfield, retiring in 1988.</p><p><br></p><p>Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 516 Signal Corps from 1948 to 1952. He was an accomplished handyman, having worked on just about every friend and family member’s home at one time or another. Tom always had the right tool or part, pulled from the shed or his van, to complete any task or challenge presented to him. He is probably best known for being an antique auto enthusiast and enjoyed working on and restoring antique cars. He will be remembered for always having an old car of one sort of another, that he would eventually get running, no matter its condition.</p><p><br></p><p>Nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family, and he loved joining them at weekly dinners at various favorite restaurants. While residing at Laurel Circle for the past eight years, he made numerous friends with the residents and staff. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>Thomas was the youngest of six children, brothers John Esposito, Joseph Esposito, and Daniel Espy, and sisters Grace Esposito and Mary LiBrizzi, all of whom predeceased him. He is also predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Mussone Esposito, who passed away in 2017.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are his sons, Thomas, Jr. (Ann), Steven (Melissa), his “third son”, Bernard Craig (Maria), two grandchildren, Robert and Michael, and three great-grandchildren, Christopher, William, and Peter. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will be held at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater at 12 noon on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Arrangements by Bruce C.
