Milan Sebik Obituary

Milan Sebik, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in the presence of his loving family.  Born in Czechoslovakia, Milan emigrated to the United States in 1971 and has resided in Bayonne for the past 52 years.

Milan possessed a strong work ethic at an early age, often holding down three jobs to provide for his family.  Before his retirement, he worked as a chemical operator for the CasChem Corporation in Bayonne, a position he held for more than 27 years.

A true sports enthusiast, Milan enjoyed rooting for his favorite teams, the Yankees and the Giants where he seldom missed a game.  With a love for nature and the outdoors, Milan's favorite pastimes included bird watching and gardening.  He took pleasure in going to flea markets over the years where he was an avid and knowledgeable collector of antiques and various types of novelties.

Milan is predeceased by his beloved wife Krystyna (nee: Nicpon), his cherished daughter Jessica, and his parents, Jan and Ann Sebik.  He is survived by his children, Jennifer Sebik and her husband, Richard Bielinski; John Sebik and his wife, Rosalia; Jason Anthony Sebik and his wife, Joy;  Justin Jacob Sebik, Mark Sebik and wife, Janine, his ten grandchildren, Samuel Milan, Natania Lily, Angelique Faith, Milana, Maximus, Tessa Krystyna, Vivienne Drew, Zena Krystyna, Bella, and Brenden; one brother, Jan, and two sisters, Elena and Eva.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, March 15, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Catholic prayer service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! But Jesus' love illuminaed,
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely;
For I love you dearly still;

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth~
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh the joy to see you come!
