Jean Carol Johnson Shoffner, was born January 27, 1953 in Alamance County, North Carolina as the second daughter born to Lonnie Grady Johnson and Sarah Jane Burnette Johnson.  Following an extended period of declining health, she did not give up, however she gave in to will of our Heavenly Father and entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2023 while in the comforts of her home.  She was a 1971 graduate of Southern Alamance High School and was employed with Dixie Yarn and Metal Assembly for Leggett and Platt.  She was a devoted and dedicated member of Burnett's Chapel Christian Church where she sang with the Choir and was active with the Missionary Board.  She loved computer games and enjoyed birdwatching.  

She leaves loving and lasting memories to her husband: Lemeul G. Shoffner; two daughters: Andrea Lea (Ruth Price) and Deidre Lowrey (Minister André); bonus daughter: Amy Shoffner; five grandchildren: Desiree Lea, Antoine Lea, André Dion Lowrey, Jr., Dacia Lowery and Sydney Price; sisters: Elwanda Johnson Bradsher (Alfred), Sandra Johnson Brooks (Carlton), Glenda Jones and Marilyn Johnson.  Jean also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and dear friends. 

She is now resting with her loving parents, Lonnie & Sarah Johnson.
