<p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hedley Burton announces his passing at the Thompson General Hospital on March 2, 2023 at the age of 79. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Olive, daughter Dorenda Colbourne (Tony), granddaughter Maggie Colbourne and his grand puppy Charlie with whom he spent many hours, as well as family and friends in Newfoundland and Ontario. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Hedley was born in Newfoundland where is spend most of his life, working as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic. In 1996 Hedley and Olive moved to Leaf Rapids where he worked with HBM&amp;S until his health began to fail. In 2002 they moved in Thompson where he spent his remaining days with his family. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Your presence we miss</p><p><br></p><p>Your memories we treasure</p><p><br></p><p>Loving you always</p><p><br></p><p>Forgetting you never </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment to follow at a later date in Newfoundland. </p>

Aunt Olive, Dorenda, Tony and Maggie, so sad to hear the news of Uncle Hedley’s passing. I have so many fond memories of our visits in La Scie. Uncle Hedley always had a big smile and lots of hugs!! Take comfort in all of your precious memories!
