Gary D. Morton

<p>Gary D. Morton, 58, of Lexington, SC was sadly taken from us due to cancer on March 8, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born September 16, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL and later moved to South Carolina.</p><p><br></p><p>He leaves behind his loving soul mate, Heather Holloman, children, Rebecca, Allena, Melody, and Sam.</p><p><br></p><p>He is predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Becky Morton, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by Teresa Volking and son, Brandon Morton. Susan Morton and daughter, Crystal Morton and son, Gary Morton.</p><p><br></p><p>Siblings, Dwayne (Peggy) Morton, Saundra (David) Fort, and Gwen (Randy) Carroll. Three grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and special friends, Alicia Norris and Tina Shumpert.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary’s favorite pastime was riding and exploring on his motorcycle. He had a thirst for knowledge and research in all subjects. He loved the beach, music and learning how to play different instruments. Gary spent many years in fiber optic cable burial and later as an electrician with DNB Electrical.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial Services will be held on March 18, 2023 at 5:00 PM at: New Hope Worship Center, 426 S. Main Street, Gaston, SC 29053 with Pastor Billy Craps Officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
