Martha Ann Fowler

<p>Martha Furr Fowler, 84, affectionately known as “Mott”, passed away March 10, 2023 after her battle with cancer and other health issues. Mott was born January 24, 1939 to the late Earl Bowman Furr and Ruth Moss Furr. She was a native of Mecklenburg County, but spent many of her later years as a resident of Cabarrus County.</p><p><br></p><p>She was an avid bowler, loved to play bingo, and enjoyed watching and talking about all sports. She loved to travel with her sisters and nieces to the Cherokee casino. She was a people person and didn’t meet a stranger. </p><p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Fowler, son Mark Fowler, three brothers – Robert Larry Furr, Earl Jefferson Furr, and Earl Bowman Furr, three sisters – Geraldine “Jerry” Brown, Margaret Foster, Mary Ellen “Pete” Penninger.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by three children, Sherry (Donnie) Jewett, Marshall Vann Crenshaw Jr, Joyce Hoffman, grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Jewett, Philip and Aaron Hoffman, great grandchild Sean Jewett, and many special nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A special thanks of gratitude to nieces Linda Simpson and Brenda White for the years of love, support, and caregiving. </p><p><br></p><p>A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, March 21st at 11:00am at Wilkinson Funeral Home, 100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025.</p>

Martha Furr Fowler, 84, affectionately known as “Mott”, passed away March 10, 2023 after her battle with cancer and other health issues.
