Mr. Earl Slade Jr.

<p>On Saturday, March 11, 2023, Mr. Earl Howard Slade Jr. went home to be with the Lord. His death was unexpected but peaceful.&nbsp; </p><p>Earl was born on May 26, 1950, in Ahoskie, North Carolina. He received his education within the Newport News School Systems and graduated from Huntington High School, Class of 1968.&nbsp; </p><p>Earl worked at Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipyard for 43 years in the mailroom and food service departments from August 16, 1968 – May 26, 2012.&nbsp; </p><p>He was preceded in death by his Father, Earl H. Slade Sr., and his mother, Anna Rosebud Slade, and he leaves to cherish his memory his son Michael D. Slade (LaTonya), daughters J’Breana S. Clarke (Carl), Vonda K. &nbsp;(Sessoms) Greene (Linwood). Granddaughters; Jessica B. Singleton (Brandon), Tory L. Jackson-Smith (Ramses), and Michaella L. Slade. Grandson; Joshua P. Slade, great-grandson; Nasir A. Singleton. Sisters; Evelyn Gwaltney (the late Norman Gwaltney), Cynthia Slade, Jaqueline Slade, brother Jeffrey Slade, God-son Leonard Sledge Jr. He was also loved and cherished by his host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.&nbsp; </p><p>Acknowledgments </p><p>The Slade family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for all the acts of kindness and love shown by&nbsp;friends and family&nbsp;that Earl knew during this time of grief. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>It is the desire of the Slade&nbsp;family&nbsp;that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>The family of Mr. Earl Slade&nbsp;has entrusted his final care to C.
