LaVern Edward Henshen

<p>Lavern Edward Henshen was born on March 23, 1930, in Mapleton Iowa to Edward and Ella Henshen. Lavern served in the U.S. army during the Korean War. When he returned, he worked construction and drove truck finally settling in as a bus driver for Lane Transit District where he worked and retired after 20+ years of service.</p><p><br></p><p>Lavern met the love of his life, Beverly Young in 1956 and they were married April 7th, 1957. They lived the majority of their lives in Marcola, Oregon until moving to Springfield in 2000.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and a great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, three children Keith Henshen of Springfield (6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild), Debbie of Coos Bay(husband Charles, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren) and Jodi Albin of Eugene (husband Mike, 2 grandchildren) a brother Norman (wife Mary) of Springfield and a sister Clarissa (husband Steve) of Iowa. </p><p><br></p><p>Lavern enjoyed every minute he got to spend with them and will be missed.</p>

Lavern met the love of his life, Beverly Young in 1956 and they were married April 7th, 1957. They lived the majority of their lives in Marcola, Oregon until moving to Springfield in 2000.


He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and a great-granddaughter.
