Gerald Curtis McCabe, Sr., age 68, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born on December 27, 1954, in Jacksonville, to the late Valorous Curtis McCabe, Jr. and Jeanette Meta Auwers. 
Mr. McCabe enjoyed reading, researching family genealogy, riding his Suzuki Boulevard to bike week, and was an FSU fan. He coached little league baseball in Baker County from 1986 to 1995. He was a dedicated employee at the I.F.F./Union Camp for 44 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an attendee of Cross Church in Starke, Florida.
Mr. McCabe was preceded in death by his beloved son, Curtis Charles (Brittany) McCabe. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Carmilla “Karm” Eileen McCabe. He is also survived by his sons, Gerald “Jerry” (Michele) McCabe, Jr., and Eric (Anne) McCabe; daughter, Kelly (Brian) Preece; grandchildren, Emilee McCabe, Kiley McCabe, Mason McCabe, Dezi Arbelo, Kaylynn McCabe, Curtis McCabe, Jr., Raegan McCabe, and Kennedy McCabe.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Manntown Cemetery in Glen St. Mary, with Pastor David Crawford officiating.
