Marian Marcene (Davis) Broz, 94, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at her daughter’s home after a sudden illness. 

She lived in Berlin Heights from 1958 until 1996. She was born on April 9, 1928 in Clyde, Ohio to Erbin and Estella (Snavely) Davis.

Marcene went to Clyde Schools. She was employed in the dietary area at Providence Hospital (FRMC) as well as Fisher-Titus Hospital and IGA Norwalk. Marcene was a member of Lakeview Methodist Church since 1958. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting Salt & Pepper shakers.

Marcene is survived by her daughters, Rose (Jim) Smith, of Norwalk, OH, and Mary Grace Kachurich, of Cortland, OH; son, George “Speedy” (Dawn) Green, of Berlin Heights, and son, Thomas Green; numerous grandcchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Marcene was preceded in death by her husband, James “Ed” Broz; daughters, Marian Fowler Smith and Estella “Midge” Ellis; sons, Edward Broz and Charles Broz; sisters, Dolly Absher and Gladys Bookmeyer; and 3 grandchildren, Dawn (Green) Vargas, Candy (Fowler) McKinzie, and Robert Green.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dick Kretchmar presiding. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
