Bertha Mae Carlyle Obituary

Bertha Mae Carlyle was born in Jenkins County, Georgia on July 3, 1944, to the late Ms. Amie Wilson. Bertha Mae attended the public schools of Jenkins County and resided most of her life in Candler County, Georgia.

At an early age she gave her life to Christ. For over twenty years, she member of Solomon’s Temple International of Swainsboro, Georgia, under the leadership of Dr. James Mason. Mother Bertha enjoyed fishing and cooking, gardening and the beauty of flowers.  She was known for her sincere love for people and her amazing care for her grandchildren .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Carlyle; one son, Randall Carlyle; one daughter, Jacqueline Newton and five siblings, John C. Wilson, Philip Wilson, Lenard Wilson, Salina Wilson, and Lonnie Mae Wilson. 

Bertha leaves to cherish many memories: twelve children, Roosevelt Carlyle (Angela), Randolph Carlyle (Tina), Matthew  Carlyle (Sabra), Cassandra Carlyle (Irvin), Marcus Ann Carlyle, Cotina Carlyle, Jonnie Mae Byrd (Randy), Amie Carlyle;  Jamodrick Carlyle, Janika Ricks, Keevon Carlyle, Kadaafi Carlyle,  one grandson reared as her own , Jamie Carlyle and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.
