<p>Maria Mavraganis, age 85, at rest on March 10, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Loving mother of George (Carol), Dean Mavraganis, Diane (Pete) Psihogios and John (Enza) Mavraganis. Cherished Yiayia of Angela, Tom (Kenzie), Alexandra (Roberto) Maximo, Nicole, Maria, Tommy, Dimitri, Vito and Nicholas. Pro Yiayia of Vivianna, Jackson, Mateo, Madison and Camila. Dear sister of Anastasia (the late Panagiotis) Vasilogamberos, Lela (the late Wayne) Priest and the late Theofanis (Georgia) Limberopoulos, the late Louie (Connie). Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 3:00 until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Thursday, Beginning at the funeral home at the funeral home at 9:30 am and then proceed to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Schiller Park for 10:30 am Service. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.</p>

How I adored Maria! She was my favorite friend in Bay Colony! My favorite memory was finding a note on my door saying, "You have dinner tonite". She made sure I had 3 or 4! In fact she was doing this a few hours before the Good Lord took her to be with him!
