Arthur Alfred Baillio, Sr. "Al", 94 years old, beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, and Brother was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2023. He entered this world on September 15, 1928, born to Jane Juneau Baillio and John Wilmer Baillio, Sr., in Alexandria, LA. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He loved LSU sports and the Houston Astros, working, and spending time with his family. He was the rock of the family and held them together through the years.

Arthur is survived by his children, Marie Cooley, Janice Brittain and husband Donnie, Arthur Baillio, Jr. and wife Maxine, Larry Baillio and wife Donna, Barbara Davis and husband Buddy, Belinda Dawson and husband Junior, Deanna Suire and husband Jude; and John Baillio and wife Carol; grandchildren, Randy, Jacob, Troy, Roy, Tammy, Bo, Brian, Alicia, Donnie, Joe, Josh, Chelsie, Christina, Shaunda, Ashley, and Rita; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Gene and Perry Baillio; daughter-in-law, Beverly Ducote; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Rita Desselle Baillio; parents; sons, Donald Baillio, Clyde Baillio, unborn baby boy, and Roy Ducote; daughter, Ellie Roy Baillio; 1 great-granddaughter; sons-in-law, James Cooley and Bill Burton; and siblings, John Wilmer Baillio, Jr. and Mary Margaret Hull and Lawrence Baillio.

Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Ducote, Roy Ducote, Brice Hamner, Brayden Hamner, Josh Baillio, and Joe Baillio. Honorary pallbearer will be Dylan Gallien.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
