David Niemela, 70, a resident of Tamarack Waterworks passed away at his home on Saturday March 11, 2023.

He was born on March 6, 1953 in Hazel Park, MI a son of the late Geroge and Irene (Johnson) Niemela.

David graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1971.

Preceding him in death was a brother Ronald Niemela

Surviving are his wife Peggy

Daughters: Jennifer (Bruce) Dessellier and Kim (Jeff) West

5 grandchildren: Gavin, Chase, Brooks, Tyler and Cody (Julia Hendrickson)

Sister in law Dorothy.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.

The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
