Kody Ray Allen, 33, of Moberly passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023.  He was born to the union of Karen VanCleve and Homer Allen in Livingston, TX, September 26, 1989.

He graduated Moberly High School in 2008, he enjoyed cross country, fishing, boating and reading. After high school he enlisted in the United State Navy, after he was honorably discharged he moved to Maryville and worked in manufacturing at Kawasaki plant for several years.  He relocated to Moberly to pursue a degree as an electrical engineer from DeVry University.

Kody is preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Rae Garner, great grandmother, Gladys Brown, both of Hannibal, great grandparents the Allen’s, great grandparents the Jones, and an  uncle J.R. Masden, of Kahoka.

He is survived by his father Homer Ray Allen and his wife Cheryl, his mother Karen Kay (Garner) Van Cleve and her husband John, siblings  Emelie Allen, Quinne VanCleve, Jack VanCleve,  all of Moberly, step sister Jodi Vanskike and her husband Richie, step brother Justin Conrad and his wife Nancy all  of Columbia, grandfather, William Garner of Hannibal, grandparents, Paul and Emeline Allen of Kahoka, nephews Vito Conrad, Terry Bowen and wife Kersten, Taylor Bowen and wife Courtney, all of Lake of the Ozarks, soulmate Brooke Dickerson, of Columbia, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Kody’s life will be held, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 4 PM at the Cater Funeral Home. Those who wish may gather after 3 at the funeral home.
