Ann Summerfield Omaha, Nebraska Obituary

Ann Summerfield

Ann Summerfield was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the second youngest of 8 children. Raised in a Christian home, Ann attended Wescone Christian High School (boarding) in Potomac, IL. After graduating, she had 2 years of Bible School then worked at the school for 10 years as a dorm counselor, cooking for a time and working as a secretary for the principal. Ann married in 1972 and became a mother to 2 sons Jamie Crager and Jason Crager. A few years went by and soon after, she met the love of her life Guy Summerfield in 1980. Guy had 5 children from a previous marriage. In a short time they fell in love, and decided to join their families together. Guy and Ann moved their new family to Omaha, NE. Ann worked at La Vista Jr. High School as a cook and became a cafeteria manager and she was able to retire after 27 years of service. During her lifetime, Ann loved all of her kids and grandchildren extra curricular activities and sports. She loved her family, and the times she visited with her extended family and friends. She enjoyed attending and supporting Community Bible Church. Ann is a 4 time cancer survivor. She quietly endured so much, and persevered with continual faith in God to provide for her every need. She never doubted his love for her. Her faith was a steadfast constant in the family.

Ann loved her flowers especially roses and her plants throughout the house. She put together puzzles, and was an avid reader of books and her bible. She enjoyed sitting by the fire with the love of her life and watching football (Green Bay Packers and Nebraska Cornhuskers). Ann loved to cook and bake and was famous for her delicious cookies. Mom, you will be missed deeply by each life you have touched. Until we meet again. We Love You.
