Don has two sons with his first wife Christine; Eric (Lori) and Nick Birney. Don was blessed with love again marrying Lynn (Cisar). When Don walked in a room you couldn't help to notice how dapper he dressed with his nice suits and snazzy shoes, he was a "big kid" he never met a stranger and always left the room laughing with his jokes and positive energy. He was a car enthusiast and was in a car club with his Cutlass Supreme Convertible listening to 1960's classic music including; The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes and many more, and cheered for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Don loved to fish-especially walleye with his sons, him and his wife Lynn fished all around including Canada and deep-sea fishing in Mexico as well as vacationing in Hawaii. Don loved a good deal with couponing but never shorted on love for his family or his "furry sons" Jaxon and Jagger. Don is preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Marmo Birney and his parents; Harold and Dorothy and Brother-in-Law David Anderson. Don will be missed very much by everyone who knew him.
