She passed away October 28, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska.LaVerna was preceded in death by her husband Willard C. Morrissey; one sister; and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sharlene) Morrissey; and daughters, Diane (Gary) Wane and Denise (Paul) Shirley; grandchildren, Lisa, Mark, Kristin, Christopher, and Robyn; and great grandchildren, Carly, Hadley, MaKenna, and Teegan.Memorials suggested to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, or Nebraska Children's Home Society.
