He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Edwards and older brother, Kevin Edwards. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie (Ashby) Edwards and his sister, Leann (Edwards) Jensen.<p><br></p><div>He is also survived by his wife, Deanna (Ricks) Edwards, his children Natasha Gartin (Alex), Brittany, Rodney Jr. (Rhianna), Justin (Brooke), Krista Edwards, and Thomas and Tyler Ricks; granddaughters Avery, Scarlett, Kensley, and Violet Edwards; grandson Cooper Gartin as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.<p><br></p><div>Rodney was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family, thrift shopping, and cooking. He would befriend anyone and loved to talk their ear off. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.<div><p><br></p><div>Funeral service will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd. in Omaha, NE.
