Mary Geneen Meloccaro Omaha, Nebraska Obituary

Mary Geneen Meloccaro

Mary G Meloccaro was born March 24th, 1947 to Leslie and Genevieve Jacobsen in Dennison, Iowa. She was greeted by an older brother Bud and sister Sherry and a few short years later her younger brother Jerry was born. The family moved to Omaha, Nebraska and Mary attended catholic school throughout her education. While she chose not to attend church regularly in recent years, she continued to say the rosary every evening before bed. Mary started her family early with the birth of her oldest son Rick in February 1964, daughter Coni in February 1965, son Robb in 1967 and daughter Marya in July 1970. She spent 40 years working in Horse Racing at Aksarben and Horsemen's park. She loved seeing her customers and making new friends at work and she looked forward to the Kentucky Derby annually. Mary was called Nana by her 6 grandchildren who she loved dearly; Alex, Gabbe, Ayden, Braxton, Grayson and BreAnna. Like her mother and sister she loved ladybugs and took pride in her Irish heritage. Mary spent her days working hard as a single mother to give her children the most comfortable life possible. She enjoyed shopping and chatting with her friends on the phone anytime she could. Her spunk and laughter will be missed.
