Vollyn B. McKenzie

Vollyn Buell Mckenzie, age 91, the son of Francis W. and Lillian I. (Petterson) McKenzie, was born December 1, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away October 26, 2018 in Omaha, Nebraska.Vollyn was a life-long member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and a 60-year member of Mason Mizpah Lodge 302. He served in the United States Army as a Master Sargent in the Second World War. Vollyn drove a Taxi in the Omaha area and spent many years taking care of his parents. He was a long time resident at Camelot Apartments before moving t the Douglas County Health Center. He was a quiet man and lived alone for many years. During his retirement, he enjoyed playing pool and cards. Vollyn was a friendly person with many great stories of the past. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lillian Mckenzie; brothers, Lorich K. and Ron F. McKenzie. Survived by four nephews and two nieces and many great-nephews and great-nieces and many friends.SERVICES 10am, Tues. Oct. 30, at Forest Lawn. Visitation one-hour prior at Forest Lawn.
