Kent M. Donnelly, age 59, died on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha after suffering a stroke the month prior. He was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey to Wayne and Cynthia (Knapp) Donnelly. He attended Judson Middle School in Longview, Texas where he first learned to play the euphonium. He went on to study Music Performance at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago before joining the Air Force where he played in the brass ensemble of the Strategic Air Command Band at Offutt Air Force Base.In his younger years, Kent accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a longtime member of Keystone Bible Chapel in Omaha, where he served in a variety of ways whether as Sunday school teacher, choir director, or song leader. He was a lifetime lover of literature, music, and the outdoors.Kent is survived by his wife Cynthia "Cindi" (Rockhold), his children Megan and her husband Patrick Geren, Heather, Sarah, Karin and her significant other Corbin Rhine, Katie, Kendra, Trevor, Travis, Tyler, and Brian, his granddaughters Kianah, Cadence, Annalise, and Gracie, his mother Cynthia (Knapp) Donnelly, and his siblings Keith, Kelly, and Kerry (Wisner). Kent was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Wayne Donnelly.FUNERAL services will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 1:00PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 7909 Mormon Bridge Road 402-451-1000.
