Thelma "June" Welty, age 94, the daughter of Mell and Maggie (Deweese) Johnson, was born March 30, 1924 in Albion, Nebraska. She passed away December 7, 2018 in Lincoln, Nebraska.June lived most of her life in Omaha, but also called Bancroft, Kearney, Council Bluffs and finally Lincoln, home. Mom will be missed by her family, but we have great memories of our caring, loving and fiercely loyal mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and "furry baby Mom". Mom taught her daughters to be independent and strong women in both her words and the way she lived. We will always love you Mom.June was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Welty. She is survived by her children, Marjorie Honcik, Bonnie Blake (Gene) and Terri Dolezal (Mark); grandchildren, JR Blake (Lynne), Rhonda Kuehltau (Mike), Scott Blake (Lydia), Maggie Reinert (Cody), Erica Honcik and Sam Dolezal; great-grandchildren, Vincent Kuehltau, Spencer Blake and Warren Blake.Graveside Service 10:45 A.M., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
