He remained an active advocate for veterans until his death from a short battle with cancer. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.Roger is survived by wife, Lori; daughter Lara of Lakeside Village TX, sons Justin and wife Olivia of Argyle TX, Jason and wife Staci of Maricopa AZ, Kenyon of the Philippines, Nick and wife Lisa of Reno NV and Matt and wife Geralyn of the Philippines, granddaughters Madeline, Caleigh and Arianna and grandsons Gavin, Victor and Bryson, great-grandson Jace, great-granddaughter Trinity, sister Janna and husband Doyle of Lincoln NE, half-brother Jeff of San Jose CA, nieces Chrissy and her husband Bryan, Brendi and her husband Tony, great-nieces Nikki and Ella and Morgan, great-nephews Nathaniel and Paxton and several cousins. A memorial service for Roger will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Inurnment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army and Benson VFW Post 2503. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. A link will be provided (above) at approximately 9:30 A.M., Friday, July 9.
