Eunice M. Grunberg

Beloved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Preceded in death by parents, George and Stella Reppond; husband, George Grunberg; siblings: Viola Smith, GW Reppond, and Odell Reppond. Survived by sisters-in-law: Esther Ballantyne and Ileana Hawkins; children: Gregory Grunberg of Omaha, Steven (Linda) Grunberg of Omaha, and Judy (Terry) Stewart of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren: Morgan, Jordan, Paige, Julie, and Jason; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.Born near Marion, LA, Eunice grew up during the Great Depression to become a nurse in Little Rock, AR, where she met her husband of 55 years. After World War II, they moved to Omaha, where Eunice worked at Doctor's Hospital and then at the newly-established blood bank. After a 10-year hiatus during her children's early years, she returned to her profession until retirement. A 70 years member of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, Eunice was an exceptionally kind and forgiving soul and a blessing to all who knew her.Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church and Josie Harper Hospice House.
