James H. Speicher, Sr. age 89, of Pittsburgh, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

James leaves this World to join his beloved wife of 61 years, Norma Mae (Comfort) Speicher and his grandson, David Loy.

James, Sr. is survived by his loving children James H. (Sharon) Speicher, Jr., Jeffrey R. (Tina) Speicher, and Mary Grace Speicher. Adored Pappy of Samuel (Christal) Speicher, Matthew Speicher, Daniel Speicher, Ryan Speicher, James H. (Debbie) Speicher III, Joshua Speicher, Jacob Speicher, Amber Speicher, and Sarah Speicher. Beloved Great Pappy of Eric McCurdy, Farrah Speicher, James H. Speicher IV, and Aubrey Speicher. James is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his wife Norma Mae (Comfort) Speicher; grandson, David Loy; brothers, Peter (Jean) Speicher, Robert (Jeanie) Speicher, and Lawrence (Dolly) Speicher; and his parents, Peter and Cecilia Speicher.

James was a proud Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a Christian man who enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with his family. James was hardworking, loving, and kind. He loved to ride his scooter, a good cowboy movie and trip to the zoo. He is sorely missed by his family.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 16, 2023 in the funeral home's chapel.
