Anne Brown Bayme Obituary

Anne Brown Bayme, born November 29, 1952, died peacefully on March 11, 2023. Her memorial service will be held on Monday, March 13th at 2:30p.m. at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola in Macon, Georgia. Burial will be private at the old Congregation Sha’arey Israel Cemetery at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Anne was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to Sylvia and Seymour Brown, and she and her two siblings were raised in Vidalia, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia, where she obtained both her bachelor's and master's degrees in speech-language pathology. While in Athens, she met her beloved husband, Scott Bayme, and after a four-year courtship, Anne and Scott married in Milledgeville, Georgia. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past December.

Anne was devoted to helping children reach their full potential both as a speech-language pathologist and beyond her profession. She advocated for children to meet their educational needs. Anne was dedicated to her Jewish faith and a pillar of the Jewish community. She was a leader and loyal congregant of Sha'arey Israel, serving as a congregation president, board of education member, and Sunday school teacher.

Anne poured passion, thoughtfulness, and creativity into everything she touched. Her impact was immense, but her humble nature was even greater. She added beauty to the lives of so many.

Anne's most enduring legacy was her devotion to her family. As the matriarch, she instilled the importance of family, tradition, and values.

Anne was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Goodrich Brown and father, Seymour Brown. She is survived by her husband, Scott Bayme, siblings, Charles Brown (Angie) of Milledgeville, GA and Barbara Brown of Atlanta, GA; three children: Sylvia Burke (Adam) of Houston, TX, Al Bayme (Cara) of Macon, GA, and Molly Bayme of Washington, DC; and four grandchildren: Max, Lucy, and Ryan Burke of Houston, TX and Olivia Bayme of Macon, GA. She is also survived by numerous other family members who loved and adored her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested to be made to Sha'arey Israel Synagogue, 611 1st St., Macon, GA 31201 (Educational Resource Fund) or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210.
