On March 19, 2005, she married Greg Schoonover who survives in Elida.

Sandy retired from Vanamatic in Delphos in their accounting department. She enjoyed having lunch on her deck and riding motorcycles with her husband. She especially looked forward to decorating and celebrating with her family for every holiday and birthday. She loved a good cup of coffee in the afternoon and enjoyed shopping for designer handbags (making sure she got the best deal). She was an avid dog lover, especially labs, and was surrounded by dogs most of her life. But, she shined brightest when she was around her kids and grandkids. While her kids weren’t always local, she would never bat an eye to travel to wherever they were. She truly loved nothing more than being a mom and grandma.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Scott (Jenny) Hoverman of Cincinnati and Shane (Chrissy) Hoverman of Cincinnati, grandchildren: Graham, Reed, Hawk, and June Hoverman, and sisters: Kris (Dennis) Cupp, Gloria (Kevin) Vance, and Jackie (Scott) Boroff.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima.
