<p>Mrs. Sally-Jean Taylor, 77 of Fort Plain, NY passed away peacefully at her home on March 10,</p><p>2023. She was born in Bronx, NY on October 18, 1945, the daughter of Raymond Carlson and</p><p>Deborah Hogan Carlson.</p><p>Mrs. Taylor graduated from Northvale High School in Northvale, NJ. She lived in the local area</p><p>since 1966.</p><p>Sally loved being apart of her local community. She enjoyed several writing and crafting groups</p><p>at the Fort Plain Library, Berean Bean Cafe, Fort Plain Senior Center, St. Johnsville Library, as</p><p>well as being part of the Embroidery Guild of America. She was also a board member at the Fort</p><p>Plain Library, and a long time member of the Lions Club.</p><p>Prior to retirement in 2008, Sally worked at Cumberland Farms and was employed at Lee</p><p>Publication as an Editor of several newspapers. She was also a real-estate agent for Mohawk</p><p>Town and Country for a time.</p><p>On October 19, 1963, Sally married Arthur Taylor in Northvale NJ. He preceded her in death on</p><p>January 4, 2007. She was also predeceased by her son Jeffrey Taylor, sister Lorraine DeRose,</p><p>her parents, and many friends.</p><p>Survivors include son Danial Taylor, daughter and son in-law Jean and Michael Wilday, 8</p><p>grandchildren Marc Taylor Sr. (Tabetha), Amanda Cruz, Brian Taylor (Lisa), Alec Taylor, David</p><p>Wilday, Rebecca Taylor, Victoria Wilday and Jeffrey Wilday. 7 great grandchildren Marc Jr.,</p><p>Michael, Layton, Vincent, Ty, Bella, and Ava. As well as her sister Deborah (Jonathan)</p><p>Schweigert, brother Gilbert (Suzanne) Vortkamp, brother in-law Louis DeRose, Susan Taylor,</p><p>many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.</p><p>The family invites family and friends to join them in a celebration of Sally’s life on Friday, March</p><p>17, 2023, at the Fort Plain Senior Center from 6pm to 8 pm. Arrangements are entrusted to</p><p>Gray-Houghtaling, and Smith Funeral Home. 34 Center St. Fort Plain, NY 13339. Mrs. Sally-Jean Taylor, 77 of Fort Plain, NY passed away peacefully at her home on March 10,

2023. She was born in Bronx, NY on October 18, 1945, the daughter of Raymond Carlson and

Deborah Hogan Carlson.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Northvale High School in Northvale, NJ. She lived in the local area

since 1966.

Sally loved being apart of her local community. She enjoyed several writing and crafting groups
