Brian "Deedle" Retzbach Obituary

Brian John Retzbach, 64 of Ridley Park passed away on Thursday March 9, 2023 at his home in Ridley Park. He was born February 9, 1959 in Ridley Park to Mary (Howanski) Retzbach and the late Edward Retzbach.


As a Saint James High School Alumni, Brian grew up playing sports like football, basketball, baseball, and softball into his adult years. He’s is a Boeing retiree of 40 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family. Brian enjoyed fishing especially and going to his vacation home at Buttonwood Beach, MD. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Phillies and Eagles and he never missed his grandkids games.


His survivors include his wife, Deborah Retzbach (Link) and children Andy Retzbach and wife Katy Retzbach (Pellegrino) and Melissa Whalen and husband Kyle Whalen; Grandchildren, Kaiden, Kyle, Elaina, Harper, Andrew, Scarlett, Savannah & Leo); his mother, Mary Retzbach; brothers, Eddie, Craig, John Eric and his sister, Mary Anne (Gosselin).

Family and friends are invited to Brian’s visitation Thursday March 16th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. A Memorial Service will begin at 12 pm. Interment Private.
