Ellen M. Lippincott

Hazlet, NJ Ellen M. Lippincott, 80, formerly of Troy, NY and Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late James A. and Marie M. McGrath Maloney. She was a 1960 graduate of Catholic Central High School and also received degrees from Hudson Valley Community College and Russell Sage College.

Ellen had been employed for several years at the NYS Department of Tax and Finance and the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. She retired in 2003. Earlier in her career Ellen was employed as a dental hygienist by Dr. Joseph E. Riley, she also taught in Elementary School. She was a member of the CSEA, the NYS United Teachers Union and the Dental Hygienist Association. She was a long time communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Troy and while a resident of Myrtle Beach she was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church there and a member of the church choir.

Ellen was the widow of Kenneth A. Lippincott who died in 2008 and mother of James K. Lippincott (Carla) of Hazlet, NJ and proud grandmother of Joseph and Maria Lippincott.

Funeral services will be Saturday March 18, 2023 at 8:45 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St (Rte.32), Waterford and at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Troy.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday March 17 from 4-7 pm.
