<p>Brother Gregory Sims was born on April 5, 1973, in Gurdon, AR to Floyd Sims and Shirley (Hawthorne) Sims. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, AR., worked numerous jobs, and his favorite hobby was football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. </p><p>He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donnie and Clara Sims, and maternal grandparents, James and Fannie Hawthorne. </p><p>He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife Vanessa Sims, of Gurdon, AR; parents, Floyd and Shirley Sims, of Gurdon, AR; 2 brothers, Christopher (Cindy) Sims, of Prescott, AR, and Cameron Sims of Jacksonville, AR; and a host of aunts uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a special friend/brother Dale Smith. </p><p>Funeral services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2023, at the funeral home from 12 noon- 5:00 P.M. The funeral will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 P.M. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, in Gurdon, AR where Pastor Johnny Harris will serve as eulogist and Pastor Lewis Page will officiate.
