George Tash Obituary

Born in Los Angeles on January 5th, 1941, George Tash was the 7th child of Barney and Bertha Tash; George was a first-generation American as his parents were Russian immigrants that fled intense oppression. He grew up in El Cerno and attended San Fernando Valley High School. After high school, he wanted to buy his first house. His Father, Barney, worked as a tool and die maker and managed to save up to 7,500 dollars for a lifetime of work. Barney offered to give him all his money as a gift. George refused and said it would be a loan. At this dilapidated home, he learned the craft of building. The house had a Friday night plumbing problem which George tackled by inventing the Drain King. He brought his invention down to the local hardware store, and his supplies were gone after a week. He thought they had been stolen, but it turned out they were a hit and sold out the stock. Thus began his venture into inventing. He then sold the house he fixed up, paid his Father back, and thus began his real estate adventures. Married in 1975 to Debra Tash, they raised their two children, Jennifer and Adam, in Northridge, California. In 1985 they moved to Ventura County, where George first built his dream barn and BBQ. Building his home last. George and Debra started a school for their employees that focused on each child's individual gifts and were named one of the top ten companies to work for in working mother magazine. George's company grew to over 24 employees and over 40 products. He built Eden Gardens as an events venue and a meditation garden he used every day until his last day on earth. He died on March 2nd, 2023. He is survived by his wife; of 48 years; his two children, Jennifer and Adam. His four grandchildren, Julia, Christiano, Cole, and Venice. He showed the world what it was to live a purpose-driven life.
