She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Gerald and Marguerite Thompson, her husband, Gary Rasmussen, her sisters Ardith Bennett and Christie Nicholson, her brother, Jerry (Butch) Thompson, sister in-law Ruth Thompson, and brother in-law Alvin (Abe) Richards. Vonda will live on through her devoted son, Tim Rasmussen, daughter in-law, Jenny Rasmussen, grandsons Jourdan and Garrison Rasmussen, and forever loved and appreciated by her three surviving sisters, Geraldine Richards, Louise Drain, and Judy Taylor, and brother in-laws Lyle Bennett and Richard (Nick) Nicholson. Vonda will have a private memorial for her family later in the week. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Montcalm County Commission on Aging.
