Violet Lorene Taylor

Violet Lorene Taylor, age 84, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 8:18 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at her home.  She was born February 4, 1932, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Roy Newton and Alice Mae (Watson) Carmichael. Violet lived in Tulare, California until 1994 prior to moving to Aurora.  She worked in the housekeeping department for the Aurora Community Hospital. On February 1, 1950, she married Floyd Martin Taylor in Tulare, California.  He preceded her in death on October 6, 2008. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Barbara Porter and her husband, Frank, Charlotte Taylor and her partner, Shelly Williams all of Aurora, and Martha Richardson and her husband, Dean, of Tulare, California; one son, Jeffrey Taylor and his wife, Darla, of Tulare, California; son-in-law, Floyd “Bud” James of Aurora; three sisters, Jerlene Porter of Furtuna, California, Deborah Sanders of Indiana, and Trella Shores of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one brother, Roy Carmichael of Anderson, California; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Phyllis James and brother, Eugene Carmichael also preceded her in death. A graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. Online condolences may be shared at this website.
