Wayne G. Klinger, Jr., 78, formerly of Clarion, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at The Caring Place, Franklin. He was born on February 17, 1945 to the late Wayne, Sr. and Pearl V. (Shields) Klinger.

After high school, Wayne enlisted in the United States Army and later began a career in the transportation industry where he was employed by Engles Trucking as a Truck Driver.

He was a happy soul who loved his family more than anything. He was especially fond of his wonderful grandchildren and little great-grandchildren. Everyone loved coming together to enjoy his fantastic cooking. Wayne was a former member of the American Legion in Titusville and the Rocky Grove Lions Club. He also enjoyed collecting toy cars and dabbling in wood and metal work.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Timothy Klinger of Franklin; his daughters, Amanda Truman and her husband, Charles (CJ), of Franklin, Dawn Roberts and her husband, David H., of Pleasantville, and Rebecca Cavanaugh and her husband, Bob of New Port Richey, FL; his grandchildren, Trista Conrad, Andrew Henry, Amy Fry, Cody Henry, David B. Roberts, Xavier Webb, Melissa Webb, and Skyler Klinger; his four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, David Klinger and his wife, Kelly of Franklin, Karen Eisenhuth of Thomasville, and Shelly Long of New Castle.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his grandson, Devin Klinger, and his brother, Ken Klinger.

As per Wayne's wishes, there will be no services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA.
