Richard P. Boisvert Obituary

Richard P. Boisvert, 58, of Woonsocket, RI and formerly a longtime resident of Milford passed away Sat. Feb. 25, 2023 at home after a long battle with cancer.


He was born in Worcester in 1964 the son of the late Lawrence R. Boisvert, Sr. and Joanne L. (Guerra) Boisvert of Lincoln, RI and was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, Upton in 1982. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.


Rick was presently working at Boston Piezo – Optics in Bellingham and has been with the company for many years.


He enjoyed fishing, painting, hiking, being outdoors and shooting pool. He loved trips out to Las Vegas, NV, bus trips from Milford to Atlantic City, NJ and Foxwoods Casino in CT where he was known to play a few slot machines. This past New Year’s, he was joined by his brothers and mother in Las Vegas for a special family getaway that will never be forgotten. He also loved time spent with his beloved cat, Sahara.


In addition to his mother Joanne, he is survived by his two brothers Lawrence R. “Toby” Boisvert, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Missouri City, TX and Michael J. Boisvert and his wife Barbara of Uxbridge; 7 nieces and nephews including Christopher, Matthew, Eric, Melanie, Joseph, Nicholas and Katelyn; two uncles and cousins.


Visiting hours will be Sat. March 4, 2023 from 9 – 10:30 AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Chapel of the Holy Spouces Mary and Joseph - Lower Chapel, 7 E. Main Street, Milford.


Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Rte. 16, Hopedale with Military Honors.


Memorial donations may be made to the Milford Humane Society, P.O. Box 171, Medway, MA 02053.
