Richard Harold Butler

<p>Butler, Richard “Dick” Harold- 83, Moser River died Tuesday February 21, 2023 at home two days after his beloved wife. Born in Enfield August 10, 1939 he was a son of the late Richard &amp; Lexie (Downing) Butler. Dick was a meat cutter his entire working life, lastly at the Clover Leaf in Sherbrooke. He also had his own cabinet making business Dicks Cabinets. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman also was a member of the Big Game Association. He loved his many trips to Newfoundland. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially on his ATV, which he drove across Newfoundland on with his son Michael. In his retirement he loved spending time in Moser River with his loving wife, Doris and Dick were inseparable. Dick made many camping trips to the Hank Snow Festival in Liverpool, where he donated many items to the Hank Snow Museum. Dick loved sharing his homemade drinks with family and friends. Survived by children; Sharon Legalley, Glen Haven, Janet (Jack) Reid, River John, Richard (Annie), Moser River, Michael (Erin), Quoddy, Scott (Tammy), Sackville, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, daughter in law Donna, Port Dufferin and brother Doug (Ann), Wolfville. Predeceased by his wife Doris, son Larry and sister Karen. Visitation will be held Sunday February 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 with prayers at 7 all in DS Crowell &amp; Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7 Sheet Harbour. A family burial will be held at a later date.
